When I got off work yesterday, I meandered through the sculpture park on my way home. It's a lovely thing and with the backdrop of the art museum's glass exhibit hall it makes quite a pretty picture. I got out my camera and snapped a photo planning on painting it later. The camera sort of shuddered as I took the picture as if this might be it's last. I have put that camera through a lot these last few years and it might be time for an upgrade. Afterall it is just a Snaptastic Filmsy Cam. When I arrived at home I found a book on my doorstep "The Mummy's Love". I flipped open the cover and there was no name written inside. apparently it had just been abandoned, or was it intended for me? I don't know. In any case I snuggled up and read it before going to bed. What a fascinating story! In ancient egypt a young maiden is kidnapped and forced to drink from a cursed stream, it embues her with beauty beyond measure but also ties her heart to an evil pharoh. Confused and lost she befriends an embalmer who tells her he can cure her of the curse, but she will have to be mummified for 1 thousand years. When she awakens she will meet her true love, a tomb explorer whose kiss will break the curse. I fell asleep reading it and my dreams were filled with sandy vistas and ancient burial monuments. I have to go to Egypt!
The next day at work I did a little research "The Mummy's Love" is incredibly rare! it is worth an amazing 1300 simoleons, the exact cost of a trip to Egypt for one....hum this has me thinking.
